The travel ban took effect on June 29, 2017. In this video, I discuss who this ban applies to and how the Government defines “close family.” If you or your family are from Iran, Somalia, Libya, Sudan, Syria or Yemen, watch this video to learn more about the ban!

***After this video was posted, on July 19, 2017, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld part of a ruling out of Hawaii that allows grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws from the six Muslim countries who have family in the U.S. to be exempt from the travel ban. The Hawaii judge previously ruled that these types of relatives should not be banned from entering the U.S.
