In this video blog, Immigration Attorney La Toya McBean discusses the immigration executive orders signed into law by President Trump during the second week of his administration. The video summarizes the significant changes in laws and policies that are facing immigrants, including the broad definition of “criminal aliens,” travel bans on refugees and immigrants from 7 Middle Eastern and North African countries, and increased enforcement efforts to deport more people.
*Note – after this video was published, a number of lawsuits were filed to stop the deportation of people from the 7 Middle Eastern and North African countries traveling to the U.S. on valid visas or green cards. Lawsuits were also filed to place a temporary hold on the travel ban on refugees and the 7 countries. These laws are unfolding (almost daily).
