Like many immigrants, I had to adjust to a new culture when I moved to America as a six-year-old child. My mother worked as a maid and struggled to support three children. We lived in a Caribbean-American Brooklyn community, and I graduated from New York City public schools. I knew at an early age that I wanted to become a lawyer for the simple reason of helping people. Today, I help immigrants achieve their American dreams as a USA immigration attorney. I am also an advocate of low-income New York immigrant communities; I coordinate immigration legal aid clinics; and I provide pro bono legal services to Central American refugees fleeing gang violence. I am also a global advocate of families living in extreme poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.
The Law Office of LaToya N. McBean has a solid reputation. Clients choose us because of our integrity and honesty. When I meet clients for the first time, they can tell right away that I am a trusted counselor. If there are no legal remedies available to a client, I make that very clear to a client. Our work is guided by the firm’s six core values:
1. Client First – Our clients are our highest priority
2. Integrity – We are honest in what we say and do for our clients

Our firm primarily serves immigrant communities in New York City. However, we also work with clients living in other states and countries. We work with clients seeking family visas, permanent residency, citizenship/naturalization, asylum, consular processing or relief from removal/deportation orders. I also represent clients in Immigration Court proceedings.
